[Aaron Janus]: Curious about the Rental Market? Our team here at RE/MAX Integrity Property Management is here to keep you up to date. This month I thought it would be fun to pull out some stats that I came across on the Rent Café website. The following are focused on rentals just in Seattle, and does not look at the Eastside.
Let’s just start with a look at the average rent and size of a rental in Seattle: The average size is 698 square feet, while the average rent is $2232. Now, here’s a look at the breakdown of the percentage of units per price point. I don’t think I’ve seen any other 2% of units under $1000! And, frankly, I was surprised to see that almost 48% of rentals are under $2000/month. And, finally, I thought this was interesting to see as well. This graph shows that we’re sitting at 56% renter-occupied homes versus 44% owner-occupied.
